BENEFITS OF SHEA BUTTER

Why i love Shea Butter?

Everyone wonders why I use so much shea butter in my hand made products,
why i like it so much.

And the answer is simple, because i tried this product and i really see the positive benefits out of it.
Because all the beneficial compounds present in shea butter are still in tact and ready to soothe, smooth and nourish the skin and yes and yes, helped me a lot during my pregnancy period. In fact, the soothing and anti-inflammatory properties in shea butter had far-reaching effects on my skin, going as far as preventing the appearance of stretch marks (i have no stretch mark on my tummy although i gain a lot in that period).

Later on, when i started with made with love by Mihaela products, Aya Farah, one of my best friends, teaches me more and everything about this fantastic product which she is outsourcing from Africa in bulk by helping the community to increase life standard.

Shea butter is extracted from the seeds of Vitellaria paradoxa tree native to West Africa, comes from the seeds of the fruit of the Shea (Karite) and that is naturally rich in vitamins A, E and F. By nature, is incorporated with SPF and as per specialist’s opinion it offers UV protection (up to SPF 6) and provides the skin with essential fatty acids and the nutrients necessary for collagen production specially during sun exposure.
Shea butter with its slightly smoky smell, may come in different 2 colors like yellow & ivory and has been used in Africa and other countries for years to improve skin and hair. Is only for external use, patch test is required and those with nut allergies should avoid. My favorite is the ivory one because of the cloths stains issue.

For the best quality always look for, 100% pure, raw/unrefined, grade A, organic certified if possible (that means the company outsourced from Africa check the purity and integrity and attested as per ECO Cert or USDA standards).

Shea Butter Benefits

Instant moisturizing effect because of the concentration of natural vitamins and fatty acids, perfect for dry skin, damaged skin and problematic skin.
I love combining shea butter with coconut oil and grapeseed oil and pour few drops of lavender essential oil for my regularly body moisturizer. All mentioned oils are incorporated by nature with SPF so is the perfect choice for a moderate sun bath day.

Shea butter aids in the skin’s natural collagen production and contains oleic, stearic, palmitic and linolenic acids that protect and nourish the skin to prevent drying. With long term use, many people report skin softening and strengthening as well as wrinkle

I never tried, but some of the people I talked with says that when massaged into the scalp, shea butter helps relieve many scalp problems such as dandruff and cradle cap in infants. It can be used whether your scalp is dry or oily. On oily scalp, it helps reduce excessive oil production by the skin glands. It can moisturize dry scalp and reduce flaking due to dryness.

Most of my hand made products contain shea butter, my body creams, my sun creams, my butters, my deodorant, my lipbalm, my soaps in small quantity, baby & mom creams. Check HERBALSEVEN made with love by Mihaela products facebook page here: https://www.facebook.com/herbalseven/
