Natural antifungal, antibacterial, antiseptic bleach idea for Whiter Clothes
My first important rule: wash white clothes separately from lights and dark clothes
Modern chemical science has given us laundry products that easily produce baskets of fluffy, bright, perfumed and improbably soft household fabrics. But as conveniently cleansing as these products seem to be, a price is often paid with our overall wellness and the environment.
Try creating your own safe and satisfying laundry products by using essential oils and a few inexpensive, natural ingredients. Start by making these easy and economical practices a regular part of your laundry routine:
Many of us have banished chlorine bleach from our homes, as it can irritate the skin, eyes, and lungs, poison fish and insects, and release carcinogenic dioxins during production. Fortunately, there are still plenty of ways keep white linens, socks, and other fabrics sparkling, and you probably already have the necessary ingredients around the house.
Ingredients:
For washing (materials)
Laundry detergent
Sodium Bicarbonate
Sodium Bicarbonate whitens, freshens, and softens fabrics. Add 1/2 cup of sodium bicarbonate along with your regular laundry detergent. For spot stains, make a paste of Sodium Bicarbonate and water and apply directly to the fabric.
Citrus essential oil for brightens, sterilizing and lovely smell
Citrus oils brightens and freshens fabrics. Add 3 drops of of lemon, grapefruit, orange or any favorite smell of essential oil like lavender along with your regular laundry detergent and with your favorite softener. All essential oils improve the smell of your dress and u gone have antiseptic, antifungal and antibacterial action.
